Adam Kadmon the author of the world famous Guitar Grimoire Series has created a pick and play book for the relative beginner. It is for the individual that just wants to play something on the keyboard now!

Kadmon applies his comprehensive, results-oriented approach to chord progressions on the keyboard. It is particularly useful for instrumentalists who have little keyboard experience. The Guitarist's Keyboard Progressions Book opens up the realm of chords and chord progressions through the more visually clear enviornment of the keyboard.

You are given the elements of chord theory, new sounds through voicings, a full survey of four-measure progressions and many other approaches to coming up with your own progressions. Within a short span of time you are ready to use these materials in a truly creative way - even constructing your own songs. Another piece of magic from the Grimoire series.
PREFACE This book is a pick and play book. It is obviously not for the conservatory graduate. Rather it is for the individual that just wants to play something on the keyboard now. It is for the relative beginner.

I myself am a guitar player but when I looked for something on keyboard progressions everything was in notation arrangements or fake book style, which is fine if you started studying at a very young ~ age and reading music is deeply ingrained in you. The books that had keyboard "pictures" used voicings that were still out of my reach being a guitar player. When I studied my harmony and theory from a keyboard teacher he was just that, a harmony and theory teacher. While he was great at teaching the harmony and theory he sort of just taught you how to teach yourself keyboard and avoided what he - called "monkey see, monkey do" lessons and the simple progressions. However, at the back of the book I included a II, V, I section as I learned it from Rick the Cat, with slight modifications on the left hand. They're cool, check 'em out.

Other keyboard teachers wanted to start teaching me out of method books which is great if you're a kid, but your patience for tedium is I different when you're an adult. So as I klutzed my way through the keyboard I compiled these simple progressions in the process. If I benefited from this maybe someone else will too. Hopefully that someone IS you. Have fun,

A.K.
